My name is Gaye Lynn Mackie. While growing up in Texas City and then the East Houston area, my family bred dogs and horses; Great Danes, English Bulldogs and Arabian horses. As I became an adult I fell in love with Golden Retrievers and bred them for a few years many years ago, so I am not stranger to the business/hobby and serious work that it entails.
My husband, Thomas, and I live in Dripping Springs, Texas with our two teenage sons, Sam and Landry, and as a family are embarking on this new endeavor to breed F1B Goldendoodles. All our dogs will have excellent genetic backgrounds, OFA tested and approved hips, veterinarian cleared eyes, and all AKC registered Golden Retriever and Poodle uplines. If you aren't familiar with what an F1B is, I would suggest you do some research. In a nut shell, the cross between an F1 (Summer) and a full blooded Poodle (Blaze)= F1B puppies. These are said to be hypoallergenic and least likely to shed, although I do not have first hand knowledge of this. If you are looking for a dog that is allergy-free, I cannot guarantee that these pups will do that for you even though this is what is claimed by many. I can tell you that Summer, my F1, does shed like a Golden Retriever, but our F1B puppies do not shed at all according to the families who have them. This is wonderful news, even though it is what we suspected from F1Bs.

Two years ago, we decided to find a Goldendoodle because our sweet baby Cleo, an Aussie, had passed away and so here came Summer Rain. Our first Doodle. She has been such an amazing addition to our family, we couldn't imagine life without her. She is so smart, full of energy, super loving and wants to spend every second with one of us.

While this will be a business, it will also be a passion because we love these dogs. We will seek out the homes where we will be most comfortable sending our puppies. This will not be a puppy mill but instead we will have only a limited number of puppies each year. This will be the only litter for 2018 and will be ready to go home around Valentine's Day 2018!

Summer Rain is an F1. Both of her parents are AKC registered. A Standard Poodle named Zane and an English Golden Retriever named Lizzy.

Blaze is a registered AKC Red Standard Poodle.
Full grown, their pups will weigh from 50 lbs-70 lbs and be between 22"-27" height (from floor to top of shoulders).
